GTA VI's GTA+ Offer: How to Redeem It and Check Auto-Renew
If your eligible GTA VI pre-order includes a GTA+ month, check the storefront's renewal terms before redeeming and confirm recurring billing afterward.
Overview
What this guide is for
Eligible Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders can include a GTA+ membership offer, but the exact redemption and renewal terms are the ones displayed for your edition, region and platform account. Before claiming it, read the offer screen; after claiming it, open the storefront's subscription settings and confirm whether recurring billing is enabled. This guide shows what to record and where to check on PlayStation and Xbox so a promotional month does not become an unintended paid renewal.
The catch, in one sentence
A promotional code or entitlement does not provide the membership until it is redeemed. The important step is to read the redemption screen before confirming: it should show whether a payment method is required, whether recurring billing will start, the next billing date and the price that applies to your account.
If you want only the promotional period, review the subscription immediately after redemption and turn off recurring billing when that option is available. Do not rely on a generic guide to guarantee continued access: use the access-until date shown by the storefront as the record for your specific membership.
Take a screenshot or save the confirmation email after changing the setting. Reopen the subscription page and make sure it shows an expiry date or that recurring billing is off. If it still shows a future charge, contact PlayStation or Xbox support before that billing date.
How to disable GTA+ auto-renew on PS5
On PlayStation, GTA+ is managed like other PlayStation Store subscriptions, not inside the game. Menu labels can change, so the decisive evidence is the subscription status and next payment date displayed on your account.
After selecting GTA+, follow the final confirmation screen rather than stopping at the first cancel button. Then return to the subscription details and verify that no next charge is scheduled.
- Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select GTA+, then turn off automatic renewal.
- You'll keep access until the free month's end date shown on that screen.
How to disable GTA+ auto-renew on Xbox
On Xbox Series X|S, manage the membership through your subscriptions list. Microsoft may label the control as turning off recurring billing rather than cancelling the current access period.
Confirm the change on the final screen, then reopen the membership details. The account page should show the current access end date without a future recurring charge.
- Press the Xbox button, then go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
- Select GTA+, then choose to turn off recurring billing / cancel.
- Access continues until the end of the free month.
Managing it through your Rockstar account
Because GTA+ benefits are associated with your Rockstar Games account and platform profile, Rockstar's site can help you review membership information. The actual billing control still lives with whichever storefront processes the payment, so a Rockstar account screen is not a substitute for checking PlayStation or Xbox subscription settings.
Keep the offer terms, redemption receipt and billing-setting confirmation together. If the benefit is missing, Rockstar support is the relevant first stop; if the issue is a charge, renewal setting or refund, start with the platform store that processed the transaction.
If you're weighing other pre-order decisions too, our pre-order guide and FAQ cover editions, bonuses and deadlines.

GTA+ membership information and pricing are published on Rockstar's GTA+ page; the free pre-order month is listed in Rockstar's GTA VI platforms and editions FAQ. Console menu paths can change with platform updates, so confirm the renewal state after redeeming. Last checked July 16, 2026.
